Suppose yourself as a teacher. Now when you notice a student is disturbing your class or makes some misbehaviour, then what you do. You may give him/her some detention or make him stand in one leg by keeps his hands with his ears or directly send to the head teacher. Is it not? This tradition continues from the very past days. But ever you think if this detention can replace with meditation, then what the result would be. Is it not a special and exclusive idea? Do you think it before? If not, then here your answer. What the stunning result would be by this detention.
Instead of hard punishment or head teacher’s bawl, I think it is so much better to encourage the students in education. And also meditation makes some beneficial effect in our head, which makes eager in lesson.
In our schools there are no arrangement for this. Actually for meditation there needs a specific room which is apart from general classroom and free from chaos.
What is meditation?
Meditation is relaxation, which keeps our minds free from other thinks. So, after meditation our minds become thoughtless and can concentrate on a specific thought.
Meditation also an interesting part scientifically which can improve our brain memory. The major effect of meditation are like that-
1) It Improves brain and increase the capacity to gain knowledge.
2) Concentrate on a specific matter.
3) Relaxed our brain for some time, long time meditations makes gamma rays in our brain.
4) Improves our mentality, like- can make a mental to give up smoke and reduce abuse of alcohol, decease emotionalism, increase creativity, makes a good problem solver, makes happiness, increase confidence.
5) Physically improves health, like- decrease tension and pain, reduce stress, improve immune system, lower the pressure in blood, increase the production of serotonin hormone which improve one’s mood and anxiety.
6) It helps to focus and attention on a specific matter. So that, it gives a better result for school students.
7) One’s pain can be relieve easily in meditation than morphine.
8) Keeps minds free from distraction.
9) Meditation improves to recall the old lesson easily.
10) Helps to increase awareness of one’s unconscious mind.
After a research in University of California, they proved that after meditation, the class lessons were more interesting and main focus to the students. They didn’t feel any boring after meditation. And they also suggest that just only 20 minutes of meditation can improve the students’ performance.
So I thinks meditation needs to be a compulsory in schools like other subjects. If Government can start mid-day-meal in a school, then why not meditation. I think it is more necessary than other class subjects.
But right now, there are no arrangement for meditation in most of the schools. Like there are no arranged room, no trained teacher etc.
And ever you see that a student perform well after punishment. Also in some cases either he ran away from school or being afraid to come school on the next day. It never makes a positive effect in their mind. So if punishment replaced with meditation, then the result would be stunning of course.
Now again suppose yourself as a teacher. And you are going to punish a student for disturbing your class. Now without giving him any punishment just ask him, he can only allow to enter in your class just after any specific meditation for 10-15 min. Notice the result.
