Steps to apply Duplicate Madhyamik Admit Card, Registration Certificate, Marksheet and Migration Certificate
- File a Police Complaint/Police Diary: Begin by filing a police complaint or police diary to report the loss of your essential documents.
- Note Down Diary No. and Date: Record the Diary No. and date from the police diary, as you’ll need to include this information in the application form.
- Inform School Authority: Inform the school authority about the issue and provide them with the necessary details in writing.
- Download Duplicate Application Form: Obtain the application form for a duplicate document from the official website or download it from the provided link.
- Complete the Form: Fill out the form, ensuring you enter the Diary No. and Date from the police diary.
- Use Separate Forms: Utilize separate application forms for each different document.
- Attestation by Institution Head: Have the form attested by the head and authority of the institution.
- Attach Attested Copies: Attach duly attested copies of the required documents: Admit Card, Registration Certificate, Mark Sheet, Migration Certificate, and Transfer Certificate.
- Enclose Receipt Copy (Duplicate Certificate Only): If applying for a duplicate certificate, enclose a copy of the receipt from the concerned police station, duly signed and sealed by the Officer-in-Charge.
- Submit to Board’s Head Office: Finally, submit the completed form along with the Board’s cash challan (obtained after fee payment) to the head office during office hours (10 A.M. to 4.00 PM on weekdays).
The applicant will be requested to deposit requisite fees(*) through Cash Challan to be filled up in triplicate to the Cash Section of the Board at 77/2 Park Street, Kolkata-16 for the districts under Kolkata Regional Council Offices. And for other districts it has to be submitted to concerned Regional Council Office under West Bengal Board of Secondary Education. (See Regional Council Office for more details of district).
Urgent deliveries are made within 7 days, and standard deliveries are made within 20 days of receiving the application. Please follow all instructions carefully when filling out the form.

Required Documents
To ensure accurate processing of your application for duplicate or corrected documents, please attach the following documents along with the application form: Admit Card, Registration Card, or Marksheet.
- Copy of General Diary Number with Seal duly signed by the OC. This is required if the documents were lost. The General Diary Number is a unique identification number that is assigned to every police report. The OC is the Officer-in-Charge of the police station where the report was filed.
- Damaged copy of the document. This is required if the document is damaged. The damaged copy of the document will help the board to verify your identity and to process your application.
- Attested Xerox copy of Admit Card, marksheet, Registration Certificate. This is required for a Migration Certificate. A Migration Certificate is a document that is issued by the board to students who are transferring from one board to another. The attested Xerox copy of the documents will help the board to verify your academic record.
Please note that these are the minimum required documents. The board may ask for additional documents, depending on the specific circumstances of your case.
Applications for the issue of any of the following documents must be properly countersigned and sent to the Deputy Secretary along with the requisite fee and the following details:
- Complete candidate’s name and current address, written in block letters.
- Specifics of the Examination, including its name, month, and year.
- Name of the Institution that nominated the candidate for the relevant Examination.
- Accurate Roll Number, Registration Number, and the corresponding year.
- In the case of a Duplicate certificate, attach either the damaged portion of the original certificate or provide the General Diary No. and date, duly signed and sealed by the O.C.
- For Migration Certificate requests, ensure the application includes attested photocopies of the Admit Card, Marks Sheet, Certificate, and Registration Certificate.
It is important to note that the absence of any of the aforementioned details may result in the non-issuance of duplicate documents.

Delivery Process and Time of Duplicate Documents
The documents will be available for delivery within 15 working days from the date of submitting the application form and fees. In some cases, the process might take more time due to unforeseen circumstances. However, assuming all is in order, you can expect to receive your duplicate documents promptly.
- The delivery of documents through postal services may not be applicable. Instead, candidates or their authorized representatives are required to personally collect the documents. This can be done using the Board’s designated case challan, which can be obtained upon payment of the specified fees.
- The board reserves the right to refuse to issue a duplicate document if it deems it necessary.
- Complaints about non-receipt of documents will not be entertained after 3 months from the date of submission.
- The board is not responsible for delays in preparing duplicate documents due to unavoidable circumstances.
For a standard school applicant, the application must be endorsed by the respective Institution’s Principal where the candidate is currently enrolled. For individuals appearing as CC, compartmental, private, or external candidates, the endorsement can alternatively be provided by:
(I) The Principal of an accredited high school, (II) The Head of a recognized college, or (III) A Gazetted Officer affiliated with the Central or State Government.

The WBBSE regional offices are responsible for providing administrative and technical support to schools in their respective regions. They also conduct examinations and issue certificates for students who have passed the WBBSE examinations.
